Science or belief: what is the difference?

Relevant to a method of well-being: Either it is based on a knowledge approach, with a scientific approach, or it is based on a belief, not verifiable scientifically. This is the case of the universal energy of the new age. The characteristic of a scientific approach makes it possible to verify what is affirmed. A belief remains unverifiable on the scientific level. Similarly, it is now known that a belief works with the placebo effect. In this respect, if we believe in it, it works; if you do not believe in it, it does not work!

Usui Reiki: Science or not?

Belief and magic

First of all, the results of Traditional Reiki pose a question: Finally, is it magic, or rather, do people have a gift? In short, is it really an energy (universal, of life, etc.) that can be channeled thanks to the apposition of the hands? Or finally, is there a scientific explanation?

Meditation and science

Reiki is the union of relaxation and meditation through touch. Now, science has already demonstrated the benefits of meditation. Indeed, meditation allows everyone to restart the  potential he already has in him. In short, meditation is a vehicle for learning to look for these potentials. Neuroscience has already proven the benefits of meditation for depression and lower relapses. We must be able to check that the Usui Reiki works, then develop a methodology to reach the results.

The Eastern approach of the phenomenological (mind), but also the Western approach of the neurosciences (body), measure and explain these benefits. The traditional Reiki is a practice of meditative relaxation by the touch. It has the same effects.

Scientific approach of our Reiki professionals

The professionals registered on the Reiki directory respect the approach of the founder Mikao Usui. Their Reiki sessions combine meditation and relaxation. The meditation of the Reiki practitioner triggers the meditative resonance of the person lying down. In addition, the specific touch on specific points of the body triggers a relaxing effect.
